Located at 17383 E. State Route 116, we are just about six miles straight west of Farmington, IL. This picture was taken from the front lawn on the north side of the building. Route 116 is behind the photographer.
The plant was built as a maintenance building for the Midland Coal Co. during the strip mining days. It has a 14" thick concrete floor with railroad track embedded in the concrete for reinforcement and is equipped with a 15 ton overhead crane that travels east and west across the three large overhead doors you see here. There are three more overhead doors just like these on the south side of the building.
As you can see, we are capable of handing about any size of project you may need, from a small piece you can hold in one hand to large earthmoving equipment. In fact our facility has been instrumental in the development of some very large prototype earthmoving machines. We have also been involved in developing a new and improved hog roaster. We find if we take care of hunger pains the day goes a lot better!
